Social Issue Commentaries and Opinion Columns |
|
Dr. Wade makes personal appearances on radio, television, and other media as an "expert informant" and "opinion columnist" on current and/or "hot" topics. Issues and problems related to race, gender, sexual orientation, class stratification, domestic violence, cultural diversity, affirmative action, Afrocentricity, multiculturalism, and interracial interactions are major foci of expertise. The personal appearances and "OPED" columns denote the myriad prejudices, stereotypes, social behaviors, and/or social dilemmas associated with the subject at hand. These commentaries also supply succinct and convincing statements of interventions or new directions that could or should be taken to help raise consciousness, reduce prejudices, change thoughts and behaviors, and encourage constructive human interactions and beneficial societal changes.
